Gavin Battensby was born on August 14th 1980 and died tragically on December 14th 2007 aged 27 years.
He lived all his life in Seacroft Leeds, and was a jack of all trades!
He comes from a large family inclusive: Nanna, Grandad, Mum, Dad, his own children, Brothers, Sister, nieces and nephews, aunties, uncles and cousins! Gav became family to alot of his friends - all of whom feel honoured to have known him!
Gavs was a tragic passing in a house fire trying to save his girlfriend and her 15 month old daughter. he suffered 95% burns and lost his fight for life in hospital 2 days later!
What you did gav was an amazing thing and nobody will ever forget it. You gave your own life to try save someone elses and for that you will always be a hero to many many people. all those who know you, love and respect you as much as ever and are proud to call you their friend.
